Aboriginal culture is carried in the lives of its people.
Smoking tobacco causes suffering and cuts short of the lives of our mob.

Kick the butt is about raising awareness in Aboriginal youth that smoking tobacco
is not part of our culture and giving tools to those who want to quit. It is an interactive
online anti-smoking campaign by the Dandenong and District Aborigines Cooperative Ltd
which is managed by the Bunurong Healthy Lifestyle Team.

Kick the Butt is funded by the Department of Health and Ageing as part of its Closing the Gap
– Tackling Smoking Healthy Lifestyle initiative. It aims at reducing the number of young Aboriginal people in the Eastern, South Eastern and Southern suburbs of Melbourne who smoke tobacco.
